      I just finished two of David baldacci, none too impressed. The plots are just not credible.

      The same applies to "the dying breed", by Declan Hughes. Just not credible. How he expects us to believe, a private detective, who drinks 2 double brandys followed by copious amounts of wine, a shag with the client, then drives off to the next client, more brandys, more wine, gets beaten up by an intruder, and is still coherent enough to continue his enquiries.
      Rubbish in my opinion.

      I keep going back to "Garbo of the skies" by Ian Mackersea. fascinating reading of the early days of aviation and Jean Batten. Amazing long distance record breaking flights by a slip of a girl from New Zealand , who despite her achievements remains practically unknown today.
      I just discovered this you tube clip of the adventures of Jean Batten.
      Well worth viewing.

      My next book will be Emmet Dalton by Sean Boyne.
      Some girl that Jean Batten...... As for Hughes' hero... sounds like me when I was 25. Looks like yiv enough te keep ye goin....but I can safely say you will enjoy Boyne on Dalton.
