Ahh Bang Bang, this extraordinary burst of bright color is very much the exception not the rule. Ordinarily the color of Australia is two tone but when you find color you appreciate it much more. The attached I took yesterday in a park near me called Manipi park, mostly birdlife and reptiles but I have seen deer.

hi moira, had a lovely time, loved Malta, went on the buses every day and tried to fit in the whole island but missed a bit to the west of Valetta
the bus to the top of the island was the funniest, no suspension and drove like mad all the way, went to Paradise Bay but the tide was in so there was no beach but worth the trip for the views
also went to the Blue Grotto and Golden Bay
Sliema was nice for walking on the promenade but so many cranes and buildings going up I think in a few years there will be none of the old buildings left there
we went into a very nice building in Valetta that seemed to be a club for older people and you could also eat there
weather was lovely but windy on Sliema side for the first few days and seas very rough but lovely to watch
