            Its a bit ironic that the film showing in the cinema was The Last Picture Show as it was not too long afterwards the cinema was closed
            ps
            I had a close shave driving one of those Renault 4's...they had changed from 3 speed gears box to four speed
            I was waiting for a gap in the traffic to blast onto O Connell street I stuck it into first gear saw a chance and went for it
            Suddenly I was flying backwards with my head nearly through the windscreen
            I had stuck it into reverse having forgot that I was driving the later model !
            Luckily there was nobody behind me....

              W Leon shop in this photo is between the Sheepskin shop and Jameson shop in the later photo in above post
              The cinema is off to the left of this photo at that time it was a Turkish Baths
