    Letter received this morning regards upcoming Baptism ...this little bit caught my eye .

    " Please be advised that an offering to the Church to help defray expenses is both customary and expected " .

    Their gas they are .

          They always required an offering, in the old days it was sort of understood, and not stated. But now as many people have moved away from baptism and the church, they probable feel if they don't ask for it, they won't get it.
