I have a few photos of Finglas. Maybe some or all will have been seen before... if so here they come again.

when I was a young man all the sky's were so clear,
the sun always shone and we walked without fear,
all of the buildings were new and we were the chosen few,

Youth was the engine of change we were told to work with your hands was good for the soul,
thy pitched us there latest great scheme and we all bought into the dream.

                    great stuff rashers

I didn't get them from Flicker. I have quite a collection of books about Dublin, historical and modern. Now and then I scan some photos.

Occasionally I find some on the web, but not on Flicker as the photos there are copyright to the owners.

I think that was the most dangerous pub in Dublin. You stepped out onto the roadway.

But I remember at Christmas we made our way to the Duck and also to the Drake (facing it for those unfamiliar) from other parts of the northside.... the half dozens of stout were cheaper.
