Bit of an environmental dilemma - chopping down trees: bad for the environment; more people cycling instead of driving: good........

theres lots of ways around this...[theres more of these examples on the net]....a simular case was in the news here in perth last week, a school /council ? wants to create a car park and remove the trees [Norfolk pines]....theres always solutions , but sometimes personal interests get in the way, be they political or monetary.

I think it's the trees on the right along the edge of the pathway that the Corpo want to remove... seems a bit OTT - there's another wider cycle lane inside the park.
