On a quick tea break from painting a fancy spindle staircase from ground floor to attic...,not one straight line ...all carved and curved spindles...so it sandpaper paint dry ....arghhh effing brush marks ...start again

Sounds like you're a bit of a perfectionist with the painting. Your staircase sounds nice though.
