Default Childrens homes

I am currently doing my family history along with my mothers help. However during the 1960's when she was living in Ballyfermot as a young child she was put in a children's home. She can't remember the name of it and i am struggling to find what children's homes would have been near by at the time. I don't suppose any of you lovely people have any idea of any names of children's homes she could have gone to please. Thanks.

You are very welcome to the forum.

Lisa221 - If your on facebook, there is a great page called "IGP's County Dublin Ireland Genealogy Group" if you are looking for relatives in your past. It is a closed group and you have to apply to join. If you post, please post all you know about the person 1st post that saves tooing and froing and questions being asked of you. The very best of luck.
