Still no news here on anything the foot got another infection this week i suspect from a badly done dressing from one of the home nurses.....but its ok now..i see the specialist on tuesday to find out the conclusions...theyre doing another ultrasound to relook at maybe their decision to do the bypass or decide if it comes off....im beyond even thinking of it.....theres so much other stuff going on
Helen; the meds seem to be doing somethingas Marie has begun to knit and crochet which she couldn't do 6 weeks ago,and seems to have recovered her writing skills again as well.I am keeping my fingers crossed.I have to admit,a doubting Thomas like me has said some prayers too. This seems o have occurred in the last couple of days

Re foot...got some decent news...the wound is healing so foots staying for a while...but the specialist said i probably wont be able to stop it happening again......either that or the pain from the nephropathy will wear me down eventually and i'll actually ask him to remove it.......we'll see....all we can do right lol meanwhile still have to keep it immobile to give it healing time..

Helen; I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.You have to take extra care to avoid another occurrance I inquired about travel insurance, and they would want my request to go to an underwriter, and I know from past experience we are talking big bucks due to us being over 74 and having pre existing condition. these insurance companies only back sure things and then if something does happen that causes a claim, they use every excuse under the sun to avoid paying up.I am going to wait and see.

Yes, I’m ok at the moment and the problem I told you about in previous pms has settled down now. The trouble is one thing leads to anothe. It’s a vicious circle.
I’m living life to the full these days. Off on anothe cruise in April if the old health allows me.

Travel insurance is brilliant provided you don’t need to claim, they use everything in their power not to pay out.Believe me I had an issue with them last year and I might as well had been trying to get blood out of a stone. If you had a headache or a pain in your arse they will say you shouldn’t have traveled

With the blue rinse gone out of fashion it's getting difficult to tell their age. But.... you can usually tell if they are looking for a bit of ship boarding, or treasure hunting. They would be better off investing in a metal detector as far as i'm concerned. I had one aulwan banging on my cabin door once. The ships security officer saved me from a fate worse than death.

Helen there was a big debate here a couple of years ago about banning " Lyrica" .....seems the side effects are terrible ....and when you start to come off them you have to ween yourself of them.....I know mrs Dinny refused to take them after an operation a couple of years ago

                              • Jesus jembo...where the feck were these wans when you were 16 with raging hormones.....life isnt fair is it....in our day ya had to get married to have sex..these wans are making up for it heheheh..

Dinny its the most disgusting horrid drug on the market....I went on it in december because the lupus went into the central nerve system...horrid pain that nothing cept the lyrica fixed...it did work..but at a price...i spent the month hallucinating.....i saw bees constantly flying in and out of the christmas tree...a piece of artwork in the living room followed me around the house..and id be sitting on the couch....then zoom fall asleep and fall off the couch.....no warning...but your right....weaning off it was the worst...reason i had to get off it was cos i needed stents in in january and angioplasty and they thought this would fix the nerve pain.....(didnt) so thats when the sleep walking started...and why i ended up having to sleep on the pull out bed in the basement..it was safer...one night i woke as i was falling and how i had my glasses on is no ones business...but i woke to them smashing on my face as i hit it off the ground...more horrific hallucinations and of course the sleep walking...im terrified of this drug..id soon have the foot taken off than take it again..theres another one calle gabapentin...which is equally as bad...cept that just made me seem like id smokes 2lbs of dope in 15 mins lol..... the price of getting old i guess
