              all gone now to redevlopment , notice the dutch billy there, also another thing in the next block the front wall is built higher than the lower end of the roof, that was a style to make buildings look bigger than they actually were .it commonly done in the more expensive areas of the city.

                Yes I've seen that style before Cosmo, it is nice and I guess it might give you more attic space. There used to be a convent school in Brown Street. I wonder where it went. My father went there when he was a nipper. It was runs by nuns who had the boys up to first communion, then they left and went to the priests or brothers.

                There was a nun thee called Sister Anne, who apparently was a real bitch. My father was just seventy five when he died and even then in the hospital on his death bed, he talked about the nastiness of that nun and how she terrified him as a four year old

                • Vico, there wasn’t any more space in the attic, it was just the front wall was nearly as high as the roof itself ,thus giving a false look from street level, I’ll look to see if I can see a better pic for you.......don’t talk about the nuns...some of them had so angelic faces,,
